Erica Hobbs, M.A.
Project Manager and Level 2 Research Associate
Erica Hobbs joined the Helping Education team in the summer of 2020. She was introduced to Helping Education as a first-year doctoral student working with Dr. John Begeny at North Carolina State University. Prior to attending NC State University, Erica earned an M.A. in School Psychology from George Mason University, where she began being involved in the National Association of School Psychologists serving as the Student Leader for the African American subcommittee and task member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force.
Erica earned a B.S. in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016 and then began teaching elementary school shortly afterwards. Erica lives in Raleigh, NC and when she’s not studying or working, she enjoys making Youtube videos about grad school, trying new foods, and traveling.
