Kayla is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned dual Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Human and Organizational Leadership Development.

During her time at UNC Chapel Hill, Kayla discovered her passion for educational equity through her work with Room to Read. As University Coordinator, she launched a campus chapter, organizing events that ignited student engagement and deepened her understanding of global educational challenges. This experience, combined with her academic studies, fueled Kayla’s commitment to creating positive change in underserved communities.

Her drive to make a lasting impact on education led her to Helping Education, where she eagerly applies her skills to expand access to quality education. Kayla’s multicultural background and enthusiasm for diversity continue to shape her approach to fostering inclusive learning environments.

Based in Raleigh, NC, Kayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, thrifting, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
