Anna Winstead

Implementation Coach

Anna is a born and raised Greensboro, North Carolina native. She was homeschooled kindergarten through twelfth grade, but knew she was meant to be a teacher even though she never experienced learning in a classroom. She went to Liberty University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education as well as middle school English and Social Studies. In 2010 she began her teaching career as a classroom teacher at Hunter Elementary. While at Hunter she taught Kindergarten for two years, first grade for five years, and second grade for three years. During this time she realized her love, passion, and knack for teaching reading. She took a break from education for four years but never stopped missing it. While out of the classroom she did some private reading tutoring and was amazed by the growth students can make receiving one on one instruction. She started her position at Helping Education Summer 2024 full of excitement to get back to helping children become better readers.

In her free time Anna loves going for walks, going to the gym, spending time with her mom and friends and traveling the world. Anna owns her own home but hates yard work and housework, yet she is determined to provide the best life possible for her two cats Benjamin and Lulu. Someday she hopes to run away with her cats to a warm beach with lots of palm trees and where winter doesn’t exist.
