Reem was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in the Biological Sciences.

After graduating from NC State, she was inspired to pursue teaching due to her experience in education-related volunteering. As a result, she moved to Nablus, Palestine to work as a high school biology teacher. While in Palestine, she also spent time with her extended family and made some amazing memories. After two years of teaching, she made it back to Raleigh.

Just before leaving the US to work in Palestine, she took an NC State course that involved HELPS tutoring. After coming back to the US, she picked up where she left off, but this time, as a HELPS employee!

Reem enjoys spending time with her family and friends, good food, and working out.
