Maranda is originally from Camden, Alabama but she didn’t reside there for long. Her father joined the military when she was 2 years old which made Maranda and her siblings  “Army Brats”. Having a parent in the military afforded them the opportunity to travel the world and interact with people from different cultural backgrounds. That experience and exposure to different cultures has impacted her life greatly. It gave Maranda the love of travel, thirst for knowledge and the gift of being comfortable in any environment.

Maranda has a BA in English from Auburn University of Montgomery and a Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix. She is currently working on her doctorate in Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration. She resides in Gastonia, North Carolina. Maranda enjoys traveling, reading, writing, Greek Mythology, history, baking and spending time with family.
