Tanisha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education at East Carolina University and later returned to earn her Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Community College Teaching. Tanisha’s academic career includes 26 years in education serving as a PreK and Kindergarten teacher, K-2 Interventionist and Instructional Coach for Nash County Public Schools.  She also taught early childhood classes at Nash Community College and worked for Motheread Inc.,  as a literacy and parenting instructor in correctional facilities for women.  

In her leisure time, Tanisha enjoys spending time with her family, singing, listening to music and reading
